My first story

SUBJECT: INTRODUCTION WEEK( week 1)
LECTURE BY: PUAN FOZIAH


We were having a short briefing about this subject by Puan Foziah.She gave us some introduction and tried to make us feel comfortable with her. For the first class, we were combined with both groups before we were divided into two groups. It was difficult for her to handle us, 75 students in one class. But, I think it was not a big deal for her to brief us because she have many experience before .
First and foremost, she told us what we were going to do regarding to this course. I thought that we are going to prepare some resources/material for the lesson just like the name of the subject. But, after the briefing, actually,we have to do all the resources by using IT and of course I have to learn more on how to get use to ICT.

The first thing, we were asked to create was our OWN BLOG for this course.Then email the link to the lecture's email.
We were asked to Photostat some books that we are going to make it as our revision.We were also asked to install Adobe Photoshop CS3, Seriously, I don't know how to use this software. I DON'T KNOW many things actually!hmm. And lastly, the most important thing, we were told to have a THUMBDRIVE at least 8GB. And we have to get all that ready by the following week!!Seriously, I'll take all these as a challenge .I hope everything will be ok;p



I think that's all for this moment. I hope the next week , I will become more interested towards this subject and I will become more energetic in class!huhu;p

1st lesson experience

When i entered this subject which called Developing Resources, i taught it was a lesson about how to develop materials like what i had been doing in IPIK. But then, after Puan Foziah explained a little bit about this course, now i realize it still about preparing materials but it is more focus on how to apply technology in producing those stuff. As for preparation, we were advised to download all the learning materials especially related to primary school level. It might be useful for us to complete our assignment later.

Next, the lecturer checked all students whether we all have one PC or not. She mentioned that every one of us must have one and do not share the PC to each other.Next,she mentioned about skills of typing. At first, i thought it was a joke that tying is also part of skills that we need to learn. Then, she started to question us whether we can type the keyboard without looking at the board. I started to type without looking and my sentences were so horrible. I got so many words wrong and some words were missing. Afterward, I realize there are many things that i need to learn that beyond my knowledge. For example, when we do the typing, our sitting position must straight. In addition, we have to divide the keyboard into two parts which are our left hand part and right hand part. The border between left hand and right hand is located at the word R,F, and V.

Lastly, she showed us some examples of previous cohort work. She showed a thick book that my first thought was a reference book but it was not. The book is actually the portfolio that we need to compile all the skills, software and the resources that we will develop later. She also mentioned about how we supposed to complete it and the most important thing i learn is we have to put a lot of effort for it. The more we do the more we get for the final marks.

Overall, this class is totally different form other subjects as it applies teaching aids development and software to make it as useful tools for learning.
